The Journey of Building your Nonprofit or Small Business a New Website

Many of our new and potential customers ask us what the overall process is for building a high performing website. Though from start to finish it can take a number of weeks, the process is well defined and easy to follow. Below you'll find a brief step by step outline of how we will work together. As always, if you have any questions please feel free to get in touch.

We send you a customer interview form to fill out. This will help us better understand your nonprofit's goals, mission and the needs for your website.

Our team will review the form and decide how to approach the project. We will also schedule a face to face or video meeting to get to know each other.

Based on the interview and the form, our team will submit a simple proposal with a timeline as well as project cost and how the website can help your nonprofit.

After a handshake and a signature, we'll start working on your website.

As we continue to work on the website, we'll send periodic updates on our progress. Once enough of the website is complete, we can host a temporary mock-up for you to approve.

Once the site is done, we'll provide copies of all licensed materials, photos, plugins, and themes, along with receipts.

Finally, we'll agree on a follow-up schedule to make minor changes and monitor the website.

Crossed Compass Coding will work hard to make sure the process of creating your website is easy to follow. Our team will also send periodic updates on website progress, including mock-ups and screenshots of current website design. Once the website is nearing completion, we'll temporarily host the website to your domain, creating a fully functioning mock-up of your website. At any point during the design process, feel free to email us with comments, issues, or suggestions to better customize the website to your needs.
